Great Beaches For Snorkeling In Hawaii

If you plan a vacation for a Hawaii getaway, you need to take advantage of the ocean shores. Snorkeling in Hawaii is a great way to explore the sea and do something new when you vacation on the Big Island of Hawaii. We know the best way to get to and from the beach is by booking a vacation rental with ResorticaHawaii. Grab your snorkeling gear and head to these beaches in Hawaii.

Kahaluʻu Beach Park

This is a fantastic place for new people to snorkel. Kahaluʻu Beach Park is a protected bay on the National Register of Historic Places. Because it is protected, it offers some of the easiest and best views below the water. Under the water, you can see the reef at Kahaluʻu Bay, sea turtles, octopus, sea urchins, eels, and an amazing array of colorful fish.

Kealakekua Bay

Near the Captain Cook monument, you’ll find some great pockets of water for snorkeling. Kealakekua Bay is deepest at the center, but getting to an ideal snorkeling spot is a little more complicated than Kahaluʻu Beach Park. You’ll either have to do a bit of hiking or rent a kayak or boat to find a deep snorkeling area. But once you do, you won’t regret the journey there. You might also see some dolphins if you are lucky.

Pawai Bay

Pawai Bay is one of the best places to see coral reefs up close on the Big Island of Hawaii. Because of the reef, you will find plenty of beautiful fishing swimming in and out of the reef. It takes a hike to find a good spot to set off into the water, but it’s one of the best places near Kona.

Snorkeling in Hawaii is a popular activity on the Big Island because it’s an opportunity to see below the ocean waves steadily and calmly. There’s no rush to see it all.
