Big Island Water Sports is there to enhance your underwater experience year round by sharing Kona's variety of fish, eagle and manta rays, sea turtles, eels, coral reefs, octopus and underwater volcanic topography. In the winter months there is also the abundant whales to be seen and year round there are dolphins. One of the different concepts that Big Island Water Sports implements is that they allow various members of your group to all participate together regardless of their capabilities. It is very unlikely for instance, that most companies would allow snorkelers or first time divers to actually go out on the same tour as an advanced or certified diver but this can happen with Big Island Water Sports.
Mauna Lani Sea Adventures A full array of diving options are available from Mauna Lani Sea Adventures on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Dives are available daily for certified one tank dives and also for certified two tank dives on a very personalized twenty-one foot power catamaran that only takes a maximum of six passengers. Depending upon which dive you may choose the dive will last either three or four hours in duration. Night dives are a big draw on the Big Island and these dives are available upon request with a two person minimum and of course dive certification classes are available as well.
Torpedo Tours Diving with Torpedo Tours off the coast of Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii will provide a different aspect to your diving experience. Torpedo Tours is the expert dive company in the state to provide you "torpedoes" to enhance your dive. Torpedoes are safe and easy to use and provide a number of interesting advantages not available to you on a regular dive. The bottom time on a torpedo is about eighty minutes so you will have plenty of time to roam and the batteries are just switched out for your second dive.
